My vision board in my OLW journal. I created it digitally in January, before @lucrecer's lesson came out, and I'm in awe of the shared wavelength that we all walk on because I NEVER create my vision boards digitally. And I can't even say why I did so this year; it just felt right.I also created the Bingo card, which I'm SO looking forward to marking off! I put so many fun things in there. I'm excited for it. Book 2/10: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by JK Rowling
Rating: ✩✩✩✩✩So I'm not entirely sure if this book counts, but I started rereading the Harry Potter series over. I've been meaning to for a very long time now seeing as how I haven't read them in over a decade. I was sick at the beginning of the month and basically lived on my couch for two days. In those two days, I managed to rewatch the entire movie series, which I also hadn't done in over a decade. As I was watching the films though, I kept anticipating things that actually happened in books and not the movies, which honestly convinced me that I needed to reread these books again. So I got my battered copy of Sorcerer's Stone out, which I remember buying back in 1999 at my school's Scholastic book fair, and started reading.I forgot how much of a comfort read this book is for me. Growing up in Manhattan, this was the book I read throughout the night of 9/11 when all you heard were the sounds of fighter jets circling the city, the awful smell of something burning seeping in through your closed windows. It's insane the trauma bond I have with this book. Gosh, it's given me so much comfort this month rereading it. IDK what it is, it just makes me feel at ease.This is not going to be a review, cause I think we all know enough about this book. But I just wanted to share some insights I had upon rereading it after so long. SPOILERS:✩ Molly Weasley is the true MVP of this series. Like, Mother was mothering since the beginning! Helping Harry onto Platform 9 3/4, telling her children not to bother him when they recognized him on the train, making him a Weasley sweater for Xmas...MVP!✩ McGonagall breaking the rules for her house to gain a Seeker cause, goddammit, she wanted to beat Slytherin so bad! Like ma'am was desperate!✩ I never consciously realized before that Dumbledore was plotting SINCE THE BEGINNING.✩ The book's ending with Neville winning 10 points for Gryffindor to win the house cup foreshadows him in book 7 killing Nagini! I never realized that before! Neville coming through with the clutch at the last second!
